Hi Jayne - I have two separate questions. I would like to know your thoughts on taking soy products - I've heard that too much intake can be harmful to health - but others that say it's wonderful.
2nd - is propylene glycol and SLS additives as bad as I've heard? I order products from a very reputable health/nutritional company and I noticed that their organic toothpaste has those two as the main ingredients!
Thanks so much, Lisa

Hi Lisa, Too much of anything can be harmful to your health and soy would be no exception. The biggest reason I can think of for not eating too much of any one thing is because when you eat too much of it, you are not getting enough of the other things you need as well. Remember, variety is very important and our illnesses and diseases are more the result of our excesses than they are our deficiencies. The important thing to remember about soy is to make sure it is organic. If it's not organic, I wouldn't recommend it. As for the propylene glycol and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), I personally stay away from all products that contain them. You may want to investigate a company called Neways. They are 100% committed to safe ingredients in all their products. I use their toothpaste (among other things) and like it very much. No SLS or propylene glycol in it (or any of their other products). You can find out more by going directly to www.ineways.com/jaynesgarden, or you can go to the products link on jaynesgarden.com and click on the "Environmentally Safe" link. I hope this is helpful to you, and thanks for stopping by.
