Is v8 Juice a healthy and alkalinic drink? Or is it too processed/refined and has junk added to it?

It seems to me that a lot of things are relative. For example, drinking V8 juice is better than drinking soda pop. On the other hand, drinking freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices would be better than drinking canned V8 juice. So a lot depends on where you are today and where you want to be tomorrow.
That aside, if you plan to eat or drink any processed food, always read the label first. If it has added sugar in it, this would be a reason for not consuming it. If it has ingredients that you don't recognize, that would be another reason to choose something else. I personally do not drink canned or bottled juices, not even "Naked Juice," which is considered a more healthful juice than most that you buy in the store. But here is the reason why. To get the most nutritional value from the fruits and vegetables, it is important to consume the juice right away. The longer it sits, the more of its nutritional value is lost. So I make my own V-8 (or V-5, or whatever the number of vegetables ends up being) and drink it right away. It usually tastes pretty good, too, though it may take awhile for the taste buds to adjust. My recollection is that canned V-8 has added sugar in it.
Hope this answers your question.
