Since I wrote about the Ellis water machine in a newsletter a few months ago, I have had a number of inquiries and comments about it, so I thought I would reproduce a message I sent to a recent enquirer. If you would like to add further comments regarding this machine, here is a place to do it!
Below is the message thread:

Hi Jayne, I enjoy your website. I'm curious about your experience with John Ellis' living water machine. Have you had good luck with it? I ordered one yesterday and then came across a website in which there were some
disgruntled customers saying the machine was a fraud, etc.
I've read in various sources that John Ellis isn't the nicest guy in the world, but I'm more concerned with the machine, Is it really as good and effective as advertised?
Thanks for your feedback. You seem from your website to be a straight shooter.
Thanks again,
Jim
Hi Jim,
I'm happy to hear that you are enjoying my website. I hope it is helping to make a difference for you, even in only in some small way.
Yes, I too have come across some of those websites that have spoken negatively of Mr. Ellis. I don't know him, but I do know that he is either in his late 70's or early 80's so it wouldn't be out of the question to
think that maybe those who think he is "nasty" just caught him on a day when he wasn't feeling well. I really don't know, but I do think it is worth giving people the benefit of the doubt rather than bad-mouthing them. I would hope they would do the same for me.
Here's my take on the machine. I do like mine very much and I use it exclusively of all other machines and other waters. I have "retired" my other two water distillers. As with most things, though, it does have pros and cons, so a person has to decide what is more important to them. Cost obviously would be a factor for many.
The machine does not have an automatic timer on it, as my other ones did, so I can't just go off and leave it, but on the other hand, it makes twice as much water in half the time. Now that we've gotten larger collection
containers (5 gallon water bottles), it's not as big a deal as it was when I was having to change the water container every hour and a half or so due to smaller collection containers.
It needs to be hooked up to the sink for a constant supply of water. I think it would be cumbersome to have it in my kitchen and the only other place we could hook ours up was in one of our spare bathrooms. So that's where we have it for the time being, and of course, that makes that bathroom sink unusable for other purposes. We also would have had to get a special connection adapter if we wanted to use our kitchen faucet, but not everyone will have that problem.
It is a little noisy, but since it is off in the spare bathroom, I don't find that to be much of a problem. The noise problem is in the fan compartment, which can be removed if necessary. Ours wasn't noisy at first
>and my husband thinks it may have a defective part that needs to be replaced, so we'll see what happens there.
What about the water itself? Again, this is just my opinion, but I did see my gardenia bush blossom right after I first started watering it with this water. The bush was literally loaded with flowers, even though the bush itself was half dead! In the seven years previous, I never saw so much as one bloom. I didn't even know it was a gardenia bush-my favorite flower-so I certainly would have noticed if it had had any flowers on it before. Could it be coincidence? Maybe. But then I also noticed my strawberries were much bigger, MUCH jucier, more prolific, and almost perfect looking this year. Awesome strawberries! The same plants last year were o.k., but nothing like this year. Coincidence? Maybe. The third thing I noticed was a change in my blood cells. My blood cells went from "rouleaux" (sticky) to near normal in appearance. (I use a Darkfield microscope to look at them.) However, I also noticed that it did go back to rouleaux the next time I looked, so I'm not sure what the deal was there. It had been rouleau for months and never changed until I started drinking the water. It changed for awhile then went back. So the jury is still out on that issue.
My biggest concern as a customer would be what kind of customer service would I get from Mr. Ellis? While, like you apparently, I have seen a number of complaints in this regard on the Internet, I think any business will have both happy customers and unhappy customers. Usually, the unhappy ones are more vocal than the happy ones, so that by itself wouldn't make or
break the case for me. I did have occasion to send Mr. Ellis a letter about two months ago to which he has not yet replied, and at this point, I don't expect that he will. I have no idea why he didn't reply, so I won't
speculate, but I think that might have sent up a red flag for me if it had happened before I purchased the machine. It could be that he has just been
very, very busy. I know what that can be like.
So as you can see, there are pros and cons, but would have to say that my overall opinion is that I am quite happy with my machine, glad I have it, and I use it on a regular basis. If I had it to do all over again, I would
still buy it. I think you will be happy with yours, too. I guess the real proof will down the road aways.
I hope this answers your question, and thank you for writing!
Hi Jayne,
I just wanted to drop you a note thanking you for responding to my e-mail. I bought the living water machine based on your reply. As for what the water is doing to my insides, I don't know(battling with a chronic sinus problem), but the machine works great. The machine is also very quiet so you must have a defective part. I'm curious, do you ever drink the energized tap water or do you ingest the distilled water exclusively?
Also, in regards to John Ellis, I've spoken with him a couple of times. He's got a LOT of juice! He was nice to me, but I could envision him getting teed off. He's not pc!(ha). He or Phil usually answer the telephone when I call so I'm sure you could make your request to him directly.
Well, that's about it. Thanks again for your help Jayne. I wouldn't have proceeded without your input.
Sincerely,
Jim
