I have had 4 colonics in the last 12 years. While I realize that is not nearly enough, I have heard conflicting info on how often a person should get a colonic. I'm all ears for the truth.

Hi Deborah,
I believe this is probably a very individual thing and a lot of it depends on what your diet is, or has been, like. The goal, obivously, is to keep the colon clean and healthy and I believe that God has given us the perfect way to do that easily. That is by getting enough fiber in our diet every day and also by drinking plenty of water every day. It is easy to get enough fiber in the diet if one eats a mostly plant-based diet and if of that, roughly 70% is raw fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds and legumes. Drinking enough water throughout the day is also important. The recommended amount is enough water to equal half your weight in ounces. So if you weigh 128 lbs. for example, you would need 64 oz. of water every day. Water keeps things moving smoothly as it washes the toxins out of your body. The water needs to be pure water.
For people who have not been eating properly or are trying to get their health back and are interested in learning more about this subject, I would recommend "Dr. Bernard Jensen's Guide to Better Bowel Care."
I hope this helps.
