Ginger Dressing
This is my own concoction and my personal favorite salad dressing. You can be creative with this one and depending on the spices you add to it and the amounts of each one, it will taste different every time. If I'm going to be eating it at work, I usually leave out the garlic or at least lighten up on the amount.
Juice of 3 lemons (1/2 cup)
1-1/2 cups olive oil (or 1-1/4 cup olive oil; 1/8 cup wheat germ oil; 1/8 cup flax oil)
1/3 cup minced garlic
2 Tbs. minced ginger
3 Tbs. Nama Shoyu (or Bragg's Liquid Aminos or Tamari)
1/2 tsp. each of onion powder, paprika, turmeric, cumin
1 Tbs. basil
1 Tbs. chili powder
Put all ingredients into a VitaMix blender and blend on high for about 2 minutes, or until smooth and creamy. Keeps about 5 days in the refrigerator
