Hi,
I have been suffering from chronic illness since age 12, I am now 26. I have been variously diagnosed as having chronic fatigue syndrome, allergies, IBS, chemical sensitivities etc....you get the picture!
I have been interested in the role pH plays in health for a while and after testing myself for a month have found that my urine has a pH of 5.30-6.00 and my saliva has a pH of 6.00-6.95.
I am now changing my diet to try to restore normal pH values and have recently bought concentrated electrolyte formula's for the same purpose.
Out of curiosity I decided to test the pH of the electrolyte solutions to see what change they made to the water. My water from my filter is around 6.8 but when I add the electrolyte solution this drops to around 5.00. I've just tested the electrolyte solution neat and it reads 4.10.
I would have expected the pH to go the other way so now I am quite confused! I've tried electrolyte solutions from 2 different professional quality manufacturers and they have similar pH.
One servings contains the following:
Magnesium: 130mg Chloride: 556mg Sodium: 178mg Potassium: 374mg
Plus phosphate, carbonate and bicarbonate in purified water.
Could anyone explain why the electrolyte solutions appear to be quite acidic, I would have expected them to be alkaline by as much as they are acid.
Thanks,
Confused

You can contact him at: DrTunsky@wholebodyhealingcenter.com
In the meantime, your best bet for improving your health is to get on a 90% plant-based diet of which 70% is consumed raw. Variety is the key. Also, if you are drinking distilled or R/O water, realize that these waters have no minerals and will therefore drain other minerals from your body, so switching to filtered water can also help. After making these changes, most people see significant improvement in their health.
Keep me posted!
